Tyler Collins Heads To AA Erie To Start 2013
Former Connecticut Tigers left-fielder Tyler Collins will be heading to the AA Erie Sealwolves of the Eastern League to begin the 2013 season. Collins had an outstanding spring in Detroit Tigers camp, hitting .323-1-5 in 20 games. Collins will be joined at Erie by former Connecticut Tigers: RHP Robbie Weinhardt, RHP Tyler Clark, LHP Matt Crouse, SS Dixon Machado & 1B James Robbins.
The Seawolves will be at New Britain Stadium on August 2,3,4 to face the New Britain Rockcats, which will give CT Tiger fans a chance to root on some former Tigers!

Former CT Tiger Teufel Claimed By Mets
Former Connecticut Tigers left-handed pitcher Shawn Teufel was claimed by the New York Mets organization after recently being released by the Detroit Tigers. Teufel is the son of former New York Mets/Minnesota Twins second baseman Tim Teufel. Shawn Teufel was a member of the Connecticut Tigers in 2010 and was last with the Tigers' AAA club in Toledo in 2012 where his record was (1-1, 5.40)
