Connecticut Tigers Pass 40,000 Mark In Attendance Monday Night

The Connecticut Tigers passed the 40,000 mark in attendance last night with the Tigers 5-4 win over the Staten Island Yankees. The Tigers are averaging 2201 fans per game, which is far and away the best daily attendance in the CT Tigers' 5 year history. The Tigers attendance is now 41,815 in 19 games.

The Tigers have 18 home dates remaining and look forward to shattering their all time season attendance of (68,757) which was set in 2013. High marks go to CT Tiger GM CJ Knudsen and his staff and also the fans of the greater Norwich area.

CT Tiger Jacob Kapstein Should Be In The Lineup Every Night

Connecticut Tigers' manager Mike Rabelo needs to find a way of getting Jacob Kapstein into the lineup every night. Kapstein seems to produce every game he starts. If the Tigers are intent at platooning Kapstein at first base with Will Maddox, Kapstein should be the DH  when Maddox starts. Kapstein appears to be a clutch player and he could help the Tigers in their quest of a NY-Penn League Wild Card berth.

Former CT Tiger Curt Casali Makes MLB Debut Friday Night With Tampa Bay Rays

Former 2011 CT Tiger catcher Curt Casali made his MLB debut Friday night for the Tampa Bay Rays against the Minnesota Twins. Casali singled and scored a run in his debut. Curt Casali was a member of the 2011 Connecticut Tigers. Casali played in 10 games for the 2011 CT Tigers, hitting .278 with 1 HR and 2 RBI'S. Some Tiger fans might remember Casali being beaned by a pitcher for the Hudson Valley Renegades at Dutchess Stadium in July 2011. Curt Casali was traded by the Tiger organization to Tampa in 2013 for pitcher Kyle Lobstein. Casali is now the fourth former CT Tiger to make the major leagues in 2014 (along with Tyler Collins, Eugenio Suarez and Chad Smith.)
