2013 CT Tiger Pitcher Joe Mantiply Rockets Through Detroit System

Former 2013 CT Tiger LHP Joe Mantiply is turning heads in the Detroit Tigers' organization according to Detroit GM Dave Dombrowski in issue 150201 of Baseball America. Dombrowski said Mantiply could reach Detroit sometime in 2015 as a lefty specialist out of the bullpen. 

Former CT Tiger Pitcher Jonathon Crawford Moving Up In Cincinnati Reds' System

Former 2013 CT Tigers' RHP Jonathon Crawford is moving up in the Cincinnati Reds' organization after he was traded by the Tigers in November with 2011 CT Tigers SS Eugenio Suarez for Reds' pitcher (and ex-Norwich Navigator RHP Alfredo Simon.) Crawford is now rated as the Reds' #6 prospect by mlb.com. There was an excellent article on Crawford in issue #150101 of Baseball America.

Former CT Tiger Domingo Leyba Traded To Arizona Diamondbacks

Another former CT Tiger is on the move out of the organization. 2014 CT Tiger second baseman Domingo Leyba was dealt in December to the Arizona Diamondbacks in a three way deal that sent New York Yankee pitcher Shane Greene to the Tigers and Arizona SS Didi Gregorius to the Yankees. Leyba now ranks as Arizona's #10 prospect by mlb.com
