The Connecticut Tigers have been playing solid baseball in the month of August. The team's 8-2 win at Aberdeen Friday gave them a record of (30-33) on the season, which helped the Tigers leap over the Vermont Lake Monsters into third place in the NY-Penn League Stedler Division. The Tigers now have a realistic chance to get over the .500 mark for the first time since September 2011. The Tigers remain 7.5 games in back of Jamestown in the Wild Card Standings. The Tigers will host the Tampa Bay Rays affiliate the Hudson Valley Renegades in the beginning of the final homestand of 2013. The Tigers will break the 60,000 mark in attendance on Monday and should break the team's all time home attendance record sometime during the coming week.
