Congratulations to 2011 Connecticut Tigers' leftfielder Tyler Collins for being the first CT Tiger alum to make the major leagues out of spring training. Collins made the Detroit Tigers as a fourth outfielder this spring. Collins scored a run in his first ever game Monday. Collins is just the second Connecticut Tiger to reach the major leagues. Pitcher Robbie Weinhardt was the first in 2010 (Weinhardt was released by the Tigers this past winter.)
