Anyone who has watched the 2015 Connecticut Tigers must shake their head at how many missed opportunities the team has had offensively. The Tigers have had a multitude of base runners stranded due to a lack of key hitting.
One of the chief causes for this is not having a stable lineup for most of the season. Sadly, this is part of life in the NY-Penn League, where teams are at the mercy of the parent organizations, who are more interested in development than winning games on the field.
Here is the lineup I would use from this day forward for the CT Tigers:
CF Victor Padron
DH Cam Gibson
2B Brett Pirtle
C Will Allen
3B Josh Lester
LF Jose Zambrano
1B Corey Baptist
RF Tanner Donnels/Joey Havrilak
SS AJ Simcox
The bottom line is that Pirtle and Zambrano should be playing every day as both are hitting over .300 on the season.
